Hyundai has revealed the facelift of their popular sedan – the Hyundai Verna. The updated version of Verna will probably be launched on August 22, 2017. The Bookings have been opened and you can book one at Hyundai dealership with a booking amount of Rs 25,000 (as stated on the company’s website).
The new Verna is based on Hyundai’s newest K2 platform for sedans. The new Verna is built on an Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) body structure that includes hot stampings that improves the rigidity of the body considerably. Stronger chassis and higher impact rigidity enables the driver to drive confidently and offers a superior drive feedback, thanks to the Motor Driven Power Steering System (MDPS). It has been tuned too for superior feedback while high speed cornering.
The Front suspension setup uses a McPherson strut with coil springs and shock absorbers with front stabilizer to prevent body-roll while cornering. The Rear suspension setup has been updated too for more stable and comfortable ride for passengers.
The Verna Facelift is built using low NVH characteristics that includes improved sound absorption. The NVH Foam is neatly filled in cavities such as the transmission mount design and the engine along with tunnel insulator.
The Facelifted Verna will be available with 2-Engine options – a 128 PS 1.6 Liter U2 CRDi VGT Diesel engine and a 123 PS 1.6 Liter VTVT Petrol engine. Both the engines comes mated to a 6-Speed manual transmission as standard while there is an option for a 6-Speed Automatic too.
