The Ford Ecosport Facelift has been revealed in Europe. The Comapct SUV that turned out to be a hit among the European customers since the day it landed on the European grounds. Therefore, Ford is offering an even more versatile and even more refined Ecosport this time.
To be known of the features arriving in the new Ecosport, lets dig into the feature-list of the European model first.
To improve the Ecosport’s abilities Off-Road, Ford is making a debut of its intelligent All-Wheel drive system in the Ecosport with a new 1.5 Liter EcoBlue Diesel Engine that churns out 125 PS and 300 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-Speed manual transmission as standard, but there is also an option for the automatic transmission.
Coming to the interiors, the first thing you’ll notice is Ford’s latest generation infotainment system, the Sync 3 and a larger 8” floating touchscreen and a dozen of storage bins spread throughout. However, the 8” touchscreen is only available in the top-end model. For the lower versions, there is a 6.5” touchscreen.

There are reports that a Performance Oriented version, the Ford Ecosport ST is also likely to be introduced in Europe along with the regular versions. However, Indian versions are most likely to continue with the same ongoing 1.0 Liter EcoBoost Engine.
Keeping the European Version in mind, the Indian Ford Ecosport is also expected to witness a total makeover. The Indian version is expected to offer more trims and engine options than before. The Compact SUV is expected to be released around the end of year, most probably near November.
Currently, the Ecosport in India starts at Rs 7 Lakh (Ex-Showroom, New Delhi) and goes up to Rs 11 Lakh (Ex-Showroom, New Delhi). The Ford Ecosport competes with Maruti Suzuki’s Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Mahindra TUV 300 in India.
